BLANCPAIN, FIA GT 1 und FIA GT 3
The GT series from the view of the used cars can to lump together, because in all three series the vehicles of the GT 3 class to go into action.
There are only minor differences in the vehicle sector, the FIA GT 3 and the Blancpain Series vehicle use the identical settings on the principle of balance of power. In both series each race weekend, there are a qualifying race and a main race over one hour. The scoring at the main race is analogue to the other FIA Race series like Formula 1, in the qualification race will receive only the first three points.
The races of the Blancpain series usually go about three hours. The big exception is the highlight of the season, the 24 hour race at Spa. Due to the larger race length there will be points after 6, 12 and 24 hours for the drivers and teams.
Further distinguishes the Blancpain series similar to the GT classes of the WEC between professional and amateur racers. There are different classes and thus a professional and an amateur championship at the end of the season to win.
